“I grew up on a farm near New Sarepta, Alberta which is half way between Sherwood Park and Camrose. Upon graduating from high school, I attended the University of Alberta and received my Bachelor of Education Degree in Elementary Education. When I graduated University, I taught with Edmonton Public Schools for four years. At that time I chose to stay home with my two boys Scott and Sean.
Scott is now a young adult leading his busy life as a guitar teacher and apprentice electrician. Scott and I love to hike and backcountry camp. Sean, also a young adult, follows his passion for music. He is busy writing music and has recently released his first album. He plays violin, piano, trumpet and guitar. Sean is also enrolled at the U. of A. taking Environmental Biology. My husband Boyd and I love to camp and hike in the summer. Our family including our dog Joda and our two cats Rowan and Mittens, live in Clarkdale Meadows.
In the spare time that I do have I like to scrapbook, sew, crochet, do cross-stitch, read and play board games, and eat popcorn! When I have more time, I would like to learn how to quilt. On our holidays, my family love to go downhill skiing, hiking and camping.
In September of 1993 I began teaching preschool only doing one group of children. Preschool has grown tremendously and I now teach four classes.
In April of 2007 I moved my preschool to a new location at St. Thomas Anglican Church. This has been a wonderful move and I look forward to many more years of teaching.”
